THE REPORT OF THE ACCOUNT BALANCE FOR 17th OCTOBER

The Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Australia is announcing that the balance of the dedicated bank account which has been opened in the aim of collecting funds for eliminating the consequences of the floods, on the 17th October at 13.18 is 2.83 AUD.

AUD 160,000 has been transferred 5th June, AUD 120,000 has been transerred 4th July and AUD 99,100.00 has been trasferred 17th October to the National Bank of Serbia to the account of the Serbian Ministry of Finance which means that the total sum of funds collected thus far, is AUD 379,102.83 as a result of 606 individual transactions.

UN Report on flooding handed over to the Government of Serbia

The United Nations team of experts says that a massive reconstruction, recovery and clean-up effort is needed in response to the unprecedented floods that hit Serbia in mid-May.

In a report delivered to the Government of Serbia 04 June 2014, the experts warn of health risks from stagnant water, potential risk to the environment and damage to agriculture.
